Wrestling Entertainment

Wrestling entertainment has been around for a very long time, it has been a big part of entertainment in the United States as well as Japan.  Professional wrestling got it's starts at carnivals, and fairs around the country, in no way was it supposed to blow up to where it is now.  In the United States along it has become a multi billion dollar empire that has been around for a very long time.  Since pro-wrestling has become so popular there are multiple companies that do professional wrestling.  There is WWE, ECW, and many different local companies all across the country.

The popularity of pro-wrestling has been on the increase for going on 10 years now.  They are getting money from ticket sales, merchandising, television revenues, clothing, video games, and many other places.  Their venues are sold out in every city they go visit, and even over seas their popularity is huge.  Another way they make a lot of money is by pay-per-view things that have almost every month.  It is amazing that something can become this popular and stay popular for as long as it has. 

The reason that it is called wrestling entertainment is because it is all for show.  Pro-wrestling has been fake for as long as it has been out.  That isn't saying they still don't do stunts and stuff that hurt, and that some of the stuff they do isn't really dangerous because it is.  But all the matches are staged, the winner is already determined before they even hit the ring, and many other things.  Sometimes you can see that and sometimes you can't.  There are some people that do it that make it look very real, and there are others that can't act for nothing.  Regardless the fact that it is fake doesn't mean you shouldn't watch it if you like it, I mean honestly what isn't fake on Television anymore. 

The person that has profited the most from professional wrestling is a man named Vince McMahon.  He owns WWE and has since the beginning, and since then has bought almost all the other professional wrestling companies.  He has added his family to the mix with letting them control the other companies that he has bought.  Him and his family have cornered the market on professional wrestling, and will continue to do so because there is no answer to the power that he has in professional wrestling.  Ted Turner tried it in the 90's and ended up selling his company to Vince. 

There are ways that you can get into professional wrestling at that level but it will take a lot of work.  Everyone that is in wrestling has been doing it their entire lives, a lot of them even have been successful in regular wrestling through out high school, college, and even farther.  Some were successful in college football and other major sports.  One thing you have to remember is that even though it is fake you have to be physically fit to be able to safely do pro-wrestling.  It takes a lot of practice to be able to do some of those stunts that they perform. 

There are many wrestling camps all across the country that will teach you the fundamentals of pro-wrestling.  They will show you how to do the moves to make them look real.  They also teach how how to build your character, these are very important if you want to become famous and liked with all the fans of pro-wrestling.  There are two different ways that you can become popular, same as in life there are good guys and bad guys, and to be like you have to get the attention of the fans in a way where they either relate to you or they hate your guts.  Either way you will become popular, and have a successful career as a professional wrestler.  The easiest way to find out where you can go to try to become a wrestling star is to look up local wrestling schools.
